Acceptable Use Policy
Short links are trusted because they're short. These rules keep them that way for everyone.
Effective 3 October 2026 · Last updated 3 October 2026
1. Why this matters
A short link hides its destination until someone taps it, and links on shared domains are trusted by browsers, email providers and app stores only while they stay clean. This policy is part of our Terms of Serviceand applies to every link, domain, app and account on ivlink.
2. Prohibited destinations
Links must not point to, or redirect through to, anything that:
- phishes for passwords, payment details, OTPs or other credentials, or impersonates a brand, bank or government body;
- distributes malware, spyware, ransomware or unwanted software, or exploits browser or device vulnerabilities;
- runs scams, fake giveaways, pyramid schemes, or offers fake loans, jobs or investments;
- contains child sexual abuse material, or sexual content involving anyone under 18 (reported to authorities);
- promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or credible threats of violence;
- sells or facilitates illegal goods or services, including drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods or gambling where it is unlawful;
- infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, or shares people's private information without consent;
- hides its real destination behind further redirects to avoid detection.
3. Prohibited behaviour
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages (spam) by email, SMS, WhatsApp or social media using ivlink links.
- Generating fake clicks or installs, or manipulating analytics or attribution.
- Probing, scanning or load-testing ivlink, or testing its security, without our written permission.
- Getting around plan limits, credits, rate limits or account suspensions, including by opening multiple accounts.
- Reselling ivlink or providing it as part of a white-label service without a written agreement.
- Using ivlink in a way that breaks any applicable law, including India's IT Act and DPDP Act.
4. Data and privacy
- Don't put passwords, payment card numbers, health data or government ID numbers in link URLs, link data or SDK events.
- Tell your app users how you use link attribution, and get consent where the law requires it.
- Don't use ivlink to track children or to target them with advertising.
5. Enforcement
We check reported and suspicious links and may act without notice when people are at risk. Depending on severity we may show a warning page instead of redirecting, disable the link, suspend API or SDK keys, or suspend or close the account. Credits used by abusive links are not refunded. Where the law requires, we report illegal content and preserve evidence for authorities.
6. Report abuse
Seen an ivlink link being misused? Email help@ivrs.app with the link and what you saw. We review reports promptly and act on clear abuse the same day.
